Adam Driver may be joining another Disney mega-franchise as he is in talks to join Marvel’s Fantastic Four.

Adam Driver has met for a role at Marvel Studios Fantastic Four reboot. The news comes via The Hot Mic Podcast, where industry insider Jeff Sneider said the actor could be cast as Mister Fantastic. The studio has already introduced Reed Richards Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, with John Krasinski portraying the character. But director Sam Raimi later revealed the casting was nothing more than fanservice.
Adam Driver, who has a close relationship with Disney after headlining The war of stars Sequel trilogy, could also be considered Victor of Doom. Portraying the supervillain would be an honor for any actor as he has been one of Marvel’s richest and most complex characters since his debut in 1962. The character is likely to have a big role in the MCU’s next decade, making the role more appealing to various Hollywood stars.
How Marvel Studios is figuring out its main cast for the Fantastic Four reboot, rumors continue to circulate as to who will line up as the famous First Family. Although nothing has been confirmed, other contestants for Mister Fantastic are Penn Badgley, Glenn Howerton, Brandon Routh and Tom Ellis. The addition of Adam Driver to this list proves how difficult it will be to put together the superhero team when so many talents are vying for the role.
The John Campea Show recently claimed that kill Eve Actress Jodie Comer is reportedly the favorite for Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman, while Maddie Hasson is also a contender. Michael Provosts (shameless) name was reportedly thrown around for Johnny Storm. And Jason Biggs reportedly auditioned for The Thing. But similar to Adam Driver’s meeting with Marvel, it’s unclear if he’ll be considered.
While Adam Driver’s future in Fantastic Four remains a mystery, the eagerly awaited project has found its creative team. Matt Shakman, from WandaVision Fame will direct the film from a script by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. The film is expected to be released on November 8, 2024 as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although the plot won’t be an origin story, it offers the audience of fans something they’ve never seen before.
Away from the superhero realm, Adam Driver has several other projects in the works. The first is a biographical film called Ferrari, written and directed by Michael Mann, tells the story of Enzo Ferrari – the founder of the famous automaker. Set in the summer of 1957, the film finds Ferrari in a crisis as the company he and his wife Laura had built from scratch 10 years earlier went bankrupt.
As their stormy marriage struggles with the grief of a prodigal son and the acknowledgment of another, Enzo Ferrari decides to make up for his losses by rolling the dice in the legendary Mille Miglia race. Joining Adam Driver are Penélope Cruz as Laura Ferrari, Shailene Woodley as Lina Lardi, Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian, Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins, and Patrick Dempsey as Piero Taruffi.
