A German friend of sannyasnews has kindly given this short summary of the latest Sheela interview
SHEELA INTERVIEW ON SWISS TV
This was the last item in a current affairs program and was announced with
the promise of "everything that makes a good story, i.e. love, betrayal and
money". The tone of the comment was very much along the lines of "the
Bhagwan and Sheela marketed the unique product - his teachings -
successfully until the bad stuff came out and the guru sacrificed his lover
"to save his own image". Sheela says, that she knows that she had the
fullest confidence of Bhagwan, that she never misused that trust and so she
felt very hurt by the (accusation of) betrayal. She is innocent of any wrongdoing. By some
unique logic she seems to be absolved of any sins, because she never tried
to hide her prison spell. (sorry, this doesn't make any more sense in German
either!). She denounces the guru, so anything she might have done is now
largely irrelevant. The confirmation that this was/is nothing but a cult
makes her views newsworthy. And she probably won't mind the exposure her
business gets.
There is no reference to anything that happened after Rajneeshpuram
whatsoever.
I have spend about 15 minutes of my life on this, that is about 14 and3/4 minutes too much!
