D’banj, lawyer blackmailing me says Do2dtun

An on-air personality, Kayode Oladotun, popularly known as Do2dtun, whose estranged wife Taiwo filed for divorce amid allegations of forced abortion, domestic violence and emotional abuse, has accused this popular singer and his brother-in-law Oladapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj and his Attorney Pelumi Olajengbesi blackmailed him.

In conversation with Saturday beats, Do2dtun said: “The allegations against me are untrue. You’re just trying to blackmail me. This lawyer is D’banj’s lawyer and they’re running to the press and the police to blackmail me. I just want custody of my kids and the divorce case is still pending in court. But my lawyer will say more about that.”

Shortly after the interview, the showbiz personality posted on her Instagram page: “I’ve been quiet for the past two years. Several lies were told and several attempts were made to distort the course of justice.

“It is shameful when legal professionals who should be taught choose to practice law like social media bloggers rather than submit to the jurisdiction of the court.

“Anyway @iambangalee of life, I’ve heard and read the false lies that you, your half-baked lawyer and family have fabricated with the press and the police and I promise I’m ready for you. Since you have decided to take the matter to the press, the whole world will now know how evil, deceitful, ignorant and despicable you and your entire family are.

“As for Taiwo, Mummy wa (his wife), God will heal your heart one day. I won’t stop praying for you.”

The duo married in 2013 and have two children together.

Do2dtun’s estranged wife Taiwo filed for divorce in November 2021 over alleged forced abortion, domestic violence and emotional abuse.

That same month, she began divorce proceedings before Judge Akobi of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Case Number: GWD/PET/25/2021, alleging “infinite reckless emotional abuse, forced abortion and vicious domestic violence.” by Do2dtun, which she says has affected her health and general well-being.

According to court documents obtained by our correspondent and signed by Taiwo’s attorney, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Law Corridor’s managing partner, the OAP allegedly forced his wife to terminate her third pregnancy as a married woman.

The court then granted joint custody of the children, which Taiwo did not object to, pending the court’s final determination of the lawsuit.

However, Olajengbesi claimed that on December 14, 2022, Do2dtun stormed Taiwo’s Abuja residence with some police officers and violently broke into their premises and attacked their employees.
