“My backstory is that I was born and raised in India,” Muzumdar said. “Lucky
come from a family where education is one of the most important things you can do. my
Father was a doctor, and my mother was very interested in education. She didn’t necessarily do that
have formal degrees, but both were interested in education. For me it was natural that we
would be educated.”

much, much greater opportunities to go that route,” Muzumdar said. “And it’s not that
almost a technological renaissance; it’s actually about being fundamental
capable of changing society.”

Pavan Muzumdar is an engineer, author and COO. He describes his job
Travel anything but linear. From the early days of his career he worked for Cambridge
Technology Partners in the 1990s, Muzumdar branched out as CEO of MV Software.
Eventually, his journey led him to found Pieris Capital, bridging the gap
World of investment banking and management consulting. This vision led to the
Foundation of Revalue and PCS Insight a few years later. As COO of Automation Alley,
Muzumdar aims to improve Southeast Michigan’s global competitiveness and
to advance this region as a high-tech powerhouse at the forefront of global innovation.
