Yes Morant, Memphis Grizzlies at Houston missiles ($10,100) – Morant had a 36.9% utilization rate in the first set while dropping 34 points, four rebounds, nine assists and a block. Now he’s getting one of Fantasy’s juiciest matchups: The Houston Rockets. They were second in offensive pace last season, yielding 117 to the Hawks on the opener.

steph curry, Warriors of the Golden State vs. Denver nuggets ($10,000) – Curry was a spicy vintage curry in the opener that produced 33 points, six rebounds, seven assists, four steals and one block. He probably won’t have as robust a steal number in this case, but the rest of the counting stats are well in line with the results. He had a usage rate of 34.5% in the first game and would continue to see an increased rate Clay Thompson ($6,400) hasn’t fully booted yet. The Nuggets should make this a competitive affair after being smoked by the Jazz in their opener.

Other option – Trae Young ($9,700), Brandon Ingram ($8,000), Tyrese Haliburton ($7,900), Terry Rozier ($7,700)

Devin Vasell, San Antonio Spurs at Indiana Pacers ($5,100) – Vassell was terrible in the opener, going off the field 3-for-15. Still, he achieved a 28% utilization rate and still managed to rack up 20.5 DKFP. Ownership will likely be low. Combine that with the high usage rate and it’s something I’m willing to give back hard-earned American dollars for.

Other option – Josh Primo ($4,200), Ayo Dosunmu ($5,500)

zion williamson, Pelicans from New Orleans at Charlotte Hornets ($9,200) – Zion had 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals in the first set. He only played 30 minutes as the Pelicans won 130-108. The usage rate was 32.7% and it looked explosive and unstoppable on the edge. is PJ Washington ($6,900) go to kryptonite? My Magic 8 Ball says, “Damn!”

DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls at Washington Wizard ($8,700) – DeRozan went crazy in the opener and put on 64.5 DKFP. Zach LaVine didn’t play and is also out tonight. Last season, DeRozan had a 32.5% utilization rate with LaVine on court. When it was off, the usage rate increased to 39.3%. The Heat are a tough matchup, but DeRozan has been busy with them. Friday’s matchup against the Wizards is much softer. That said, if ownership gets too high due to recency bias, I’d try to go elsewhere.

Other option – Kevin Durant ($10,400), Jayson Tatum ($8,800)

Trey Murphy III, New Orleans Pelicans at Charlotte Hornets ($4,200) – Murphy doesn’t start but is a key member of the rotation due to his shooting prowess. In the opening game, he played 24 minutes and shot 5 to 7 from the field, contributing 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists and a block. That was good for 33.8 DKFP. This game has one of the highest totals on the board so there should be a lot of possessions and Murphy should get a lot of good looks as the defense will focus on Zion. Brandon Ingram ($8,000) and CJ McCollum ($7,300).

Other option – Justise Winslow ($4,400), Santi Aldama ($5,100)

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets with the Golden State Warriors ($11,200) – Jokic underperformed in the opener, only going to 46.0 DKFP. Last season he only scored less than 50 DKFP 12 times. The Nuggets lost 123-102 to the damn Jazz, so I’d expect them to recover and face the Warriors highly focused and motivated. In three games against Golden State last season, Jokic posted 60.75 DKFP, 70.75 DKFP and 75.25 DKFP.

Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors at Brooklyn Networks ($8,100) – Siakam didn’t score at least 40.0 DKFP in any of his games against the Nets last season. I don’t Care. It will play for almost 35 minutes, will have a usage rate in the low 30% range, and has the ability to fill the stat sheet. He made 20 shots in the opener and should be approaching that number in this one.

Other option – Nikola Vucevic ($7,500), Jonas Valanciunas ($7,500), Deandre Ayton ($6,600)

bol bol, Orlando magic at Atlanta Hawks ($3,800) – When the Magic were tinkering with big lineups with Bol Bol in preseason, I thought it was cute and didn’t really matter. I wouldn’t fall for the banana in the exhaust. Then the season opened and he played 18 minutes and contributed 10 points, six rebounds and a block. He looked really good out there. With his length and skills, he can line up a lot of fantasy goodies as long as he gets the minutes.

Other option – Christian Koloko ($3,500), Day’Ron Sharpe ($4,100), Kelly Olynyk ($4,800)
