DU will release the vacant seats of each program to the shortlisted colleges wherever possible. “When the admission to the DU special place round is announced, the admitted candidates may not revoke their admission. In order to be considered in the special seat admissions round, the candidate must opt for “special seat admission” via their dashboard,” DU said in a press release.
Candidates will be able to choose any program in the colleges, subject to space availability. “The candidate must accept admission to the place assigned in the Special Place Admissions Round. If the assigned place is not accepted in the special place admissions round, the candidate’s eligibility for admission to the DU will be forfeited,” he added.
The DU will create the special assignment list for the admissions round, taking into account space availability, program-specific merit, program and college order of preference, and category. Candidates must accept the allocation as there is no opportunity to “upgrade” or “withdraw” places during the Special Places admissions round.
