NBA Trade Rumors: Full List of Players Available for Trade on December 15th

Among the key dates on this year’s NBA calendar, Thursday, December 15 is one of the most important.
While teams have had the opportunity to trade throughout the season, December 15 marks the unofficial start of the trading season. Why? Because on December 15, over 70 players who signed contracts during the 2022 off-season were approved for trading.
Of course, different contract terms result in different trading restrictions, and there are a number of players who still cannot be transferred, but the large new pool of eligible players means teams will have more negotiating flexibility and bargaining power in the trade market.
How many players are eligible to trade now? Below is a full list of players eligible for deals now and their salary for the 2022-23 season.

Notable players include the two highest-paid players on the list: Philadelphia’s James Harden and New York’s Jalen Brunson, both of whom are unlikely to be transferred.
Players worth watching in trade talks include:

- Dallas’ JaVale McGee, who dropped out of the team’s rotation
- Los Angeles’ Damian Jones and Juan Toscano-Anderson, in case the Lakers have to adjust pay in a trade
- Collin Sexton from Utah, when jazz takes over the role of salesman, he’s focused on the future
