in the NBA jam Colloquially it is Julius Randle Warm up.
The New York Knicks forward is practically shooting fireballs at this point, scoring his third game with 30 points or more in his last four competitions in Wednesday’s 128-120 win over the Chicago Bulls (11-16).

Randle finished the game with 31 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, while Jalen Brunson (30 points, seven assists) and RJ Barrett (22 points) contributed strong performances of their own. DeMar DeRozan (32 points) and Zach LaVine (25 points) led the Bulls as usual.
But NBA Twitter loved Randle’s performance:

if @J30_RANDLE @RjBarrett6 and #Brunson play like that, it’s pretty awesome.

This wasn’t a perfect performance from Randle. He’s had a couple of tough offensive runs at the track, despite landing what appeared to be a favorable move to Alex Caruso. In the last second, he fired a potentially game-winning shot in a pretty terrible possession. He was pretty quiet in overtime, with just one point and one assist.
Doesn’t matter. The Knicks (15-13) secured the win, and Randle’s hot start combined with Brunson’s fantastic seven-point overtime sealed the deal.
Randle’s long possession of isolation can be annoying. But that’s how good he’s looked since the 2020-21 season when he was an All-Star and second-team All-NBA draft, after averaging 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and six assists per game while he shot 41.1 percent from three.
That three-point shot appears to have been a deviation. But the addition of Jalen Brunson this offseason brings out the best in Randle during New York’s five-game winning streak. Randle is on fire right now.
