Here’s everything else we know about Netflix The Liberation:
What is the plot of The Liberation?
The thriller is based on Latoya Ammons and her family, whose rights to life made this film possible. They claim to have been the victims of a demonic possession that lasted and counting for two years. Ammons and her family have received international media attention for their reports, which were witnessed and documented by the Department of Child Care (DCS), the Gary (Indiana) Police Department and hospital staff.
The experience began over two years ago with unusual happenings at her home, including swarms of flies around her front porch in winter and inexplicable creaking noises in her basement. Events escalated into possessive incidents, including her eldest daughter being unconsciously levitated over her bed and medical staff witnessing her middle son slide backwards across the floor, wall and ceiling.
According to Relativity, the DCS case manager saw her youngest son growl with his teeth bared and eyes rolled back, and wrapped his hands around his older brother’s throat, without recalling the incident. Initial psychological investigations and attempts at exorcism brought no explanation or solution to the bizarre events.
