What’s your favorite vacation movie? Among other things, the Americans praise the “Home Alone” films and “The Grinch”.

Americans in the country’s capital got in the holiday spirit by showing their favorite Christmas movies.

“My favorite vacation movie I think would be ‘Home Alone,'” California’s Peter told Fox News, echoing the sentiments of many others. “Everyone likes that!”

“Don’t everyone want to make jokes?” Peter added while letting out a chuckle.

Holiday spirit aside, cash appears to reflect fan favorites. Home Alone and Lost in New York ranked second and third on the highest-grossing vacation movies of all time, trailing behind 2018’s version of The Grinch.

Many who walked the National Mall preferred the “Home Alone” franchise.

But Tampa’s Yvette praised The Grinch movies, especially the 1966 original Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”

“His heart grew ten times that day at the end,” Yvette said with a big grin.

“I’d say my favorite is ‘Elf’ because I just laugh a ton,” Erin, from Washington, DC, told Fox News. “I just love it!

“My kids like it because he eats the gum off the railing and it’s just super gross and funny to them,” Erin said, giggling at the thought of her little ones watching the movie.

“I really like ‘A Christmas Story,'” said Reagan of Missouri. “It was my dad’s favorite movie growing up and then I think it just fell on me.”

“It’s just very nostalgic,” Reagan continued. “I have to think of my family.”
