CARMEL, Ind., December 12, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The latest customer data from WorldTrips shows that more and more travelers are spending more on their vacations. The average cost of a trip in 2023 Europe is already there $8,817 – this is from $4,684 in 2022. Domestic travel also increased with the average cost $7,878. This is because the prices of airline tickets, accommodation, and food and entertainment continue to rise around the world.
“The development of the average travel expenses in 2023 for popular US Destinations is a stark reminder of the macroeconomic trends that are directly impacting consumers,” said Mark Carney, CEO of WorldTrips. “Purchasing travel insurance that includes a cancellation benefit should be on every traveler’s radar as they prepare for those more expensive trips in 2023.”
